Business Needs Changed

If you already have an ERP solution in place, you probably did a thorough job of listing your business needs so that your solution meets those requirements. You may be surprised at how fast your business needs change and adapt as the marketplace fluctuates. A regular business assessment can prevent disasters and streamline your business processes so that you’re not losing money. If it’s been a while, take some time to figure out how your business needs may have changed. Here are three questions to ask yourself during this process:
1. Have you experienced turnover? – Every company at some point in time experiences slight turnover, but this is important to note, especially if those who left were primary users of your software solution. Have your new employees gone through the proper training to ensure optimal user adoption? This can be easy to overlook, but it’s very important to ensure your entire company organization is on the same page.
2. How has the economy affected your business? – The market fluctuates regularly and you may be doing business differently than you used to in order to accommodate the recent economic downturn. Try to define how the economic changes are affecting your business. Are you marketing to your prospects differently or maybe communicating with your existing customers in a new way?
3. Have your reporting needs grown? – Insight is a variable all organizations need to consider in today’s competitive market. Businesses need to properly plan, forecast, and react to changing customer demands. The best way to do this is through in-depth business intelligence.
